Celebrities donated to PM Cares fund for COVID-19 (corona virus).

On March 28, PM Modi announced the CARES fund requesting for donations to fight the coronavirus war. Akshay Kumar, who has been vocal about Covid-19, is one of the first actors to pitch in and donate a sum of Rs 25 crore to the PM-CARES fund.

Joining a number of India Inc leaders who are doing their bit in their own way, Ratan Tata has committed Rs 500 crore to procure protective equipment for frontline workers, respiratory systems for treatment of increasing cases and testing kits in the fight against COVID-19.
In a tweet on March 28, Ratan Tata shared a post detailing how Tata Trusts and the group companies will help as India battles to contain the spread of COVID-19.

BCCI's affiliated units have also contributed in this donation. "Sourav Ganguly, President, Mr Jay Shah, Honorary Secretary and Office Bearers of the along with the affiliated state associations on Saturday announced to donate Rs 51 crores to the Prime Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM-CARES Fund) to contribute towards strengthening the nation's disaster management capacities and encourage research to combat COVID-19 and protect Indian citizens," the BCCI release stated.

The south actor Prabhas also known for his film bahubali .On Thursday He
donated 4 crore for the cause. Of this, 3 crore is being given to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund, while 50 lakh each go to the Chief Minister Relief Funds of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Pawan kalyan. 




Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan has announced that he will donate a sum of 2 crores to the government's relief fund as the nation battles the COVID-19 pandemic.
The actor took to Twitter to announce that he will be donating 50 lakh each to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Chief Minister's relief funds and 1 crore to the Prime Minister's relief fund.
